We stayed the beginning of August and wish we had booked a different site. It's dark, gloomy and grubby looking. We chose a pitch purely as it had the tiniest amount of sun that could get through but that's as good as it gets. It did rain but rather than the rain draining away it sat on the mud as the hardstanding gravel was no longer there. Our awning carpet and the bottom of our awning itself was covered in mud. We had a mud pool floating on top of our carpet. The shower block was clean but dated and closed for cleaning at 10:30am which I thought was quite early. The bins and the drinking water was all together but no proper path to get to them so again you had to mud walk just to get water. They also didn't warn you not to have a bin as the foxes will come at night and put rubbish all over your awning floor. The site staff are friendly and welcoming but that's the only good bit. We will not return to this site.
