Having visited the Coniston area over many years, I wanted to go back, this time in my own “home” and found this perl. Of course a site with kids, can never be a totally quiet place, but it was great to see so many kids enjoying the parks facilities and having a great time. I enjoy walking, although not fit at the moment to tackle the “Old Man of Coniston” I found some lovely easy walks along the shores of Lake Coniston and a visit to the local museum was a great insight to the local life. The park it self is in a woodland in the Lake District, so leveller are needed, but that should not surprise anyone, so I was prepared. Great stay. Will be back!
