Imaginatively landscaped, the campsite is set within 63 acres of beautiful National Trust woodland. With pitches grouped in open glades and easy access to the fun attractions of Coniston Water, the site offers a scenic, peaceful base for an active holiday that will keep the whole family happy, including its own mini adventure playground for children. Additional activities within the area include cycling, rock climbing, guided pony treks around the fells and much more.
The close proximity of Coniston Park Coppice Club Campsite to Coniston Water is a great bonus, a short walk from the bottom exit gate brings you to the lakeside launching point where you can enjoy watching or try your hand at a range of water sports such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Coniston Pier, only 1.5 mile away, offers steamboat rides on the Coniston Gondola and boat hire. Several cafes and pubs serving good food are located in the village 1 mile away.
The campsite is an excellently placed central point for exploring the whole National Park, with its dramatic combination of Lakeland and soaring fells. Needless to say, the walking is matchless and you have a good range of paths to keep you on the go. Birdwatchers will not be disappointed - expect to have your binoculars in constant use, especially in Grizedale Forest.

love this site. Perfect location. so quiet and come 2200 everything is silent even on school holidays. Toilet block is spotless and the showers are hot and water pressure is great. The staff are on top of everything. Could obly do with the shop being open longer.

Lovely part of the world to have a camp site. The site is clean and tidy with plenty of facilities. Was a bit noisier than our previous visit to this site, but it was the height of the summer season. Last time was October time. Plenty of places to eat,... Show more

We’ve stayed here a few times as the location is good. It is probably the noisiest of all the camc sites we have stayed on. We try to stay at the top end away from the play areas, kids and people grouped together! It’s a 2 mile walk from here... Show more

This is a fabulous site despite being very big. I much prefer the random pitches in the trees than the formal lines in many campsites. The facilities were immaculate and the staff friendly and helpful. We were very lucky with the weather and we also didn't get bitten either.... Show more

The wardens were very friendly and helpful especially with allowing us to keep the pitch after we booked an extra night and it was technically fully booked. We were up the top which was lovely and quiet (except for our children) and was handy for a quiet facilities block and... Show more

Very large campsite, a long way from any facilities like restaurants and pub. On site cabin serves pizza and fish and chips etc but expensive and takes advantage of being the sole supplier. Bus service only goes to Coniston .
