We live near the area and know Coniston very well. The site may not suit everyone, we just went to relax and get away from normal routine for a couple of nights. On arrival the staff were great, really friendly, we had to use a couple of blocks under the front legs, no problem though, the showers are immaculate as is the whole site, in the morning it was lovely to hear the birds sing and even though it rained it didn't spoil it for us. We went to Coniston for lunch and then to Hawkshead for tea and scones in the afternoon with our dog, it was really nice. We will go back sometime it's handy for us.
