Shame about the holiday homes

This is indeed a lovely site and good lake access. Told at reception that only canoes but we did see motor propelled craft being launched. Our 3rd stay, and we were pleased to see some Coppicing had been done as trees are far too dense leaving you in the shade on most pitches. However, this may not be as good as it sounds as they were erecting holiday lodges (sheds) and I feel these will be put in the now sunny pitches. My feeling here is that the club are moving too far away from The Caravan Club, and their best sites will become holiday parks where many non members will be admitted. It is difficult to find a pitch, and some are small. Maybe a better system could be put into use where the wardens insist on people return immediately to the office to say which pitch they have taken, this would allow them to tell new arrivals which pitches are free and suitable for their needs. The facilities are excellent and the site clean and tidy.
