Good for families

Poor pitches

Very nice scenic picturesque area, However after a very long journey and it was our first visit we got told to go and find our pitch and come back for keys, it was very full at the time and there wasn't a lot of choice for pitches, the site is a maze of culdesacs it was the last thing I needed getting my bike of the car roof in the rain to ride round in compition with other people trying to find a pitch, why they don't designate you a number and show you where it is I don't know, whilst we where there I noticed pitchs where being saved for people using cones, cones would be there for a couple of days before the arrival, also the pitchs are very small and un level, with a bit of work they could be made a lot better, it like a very commercialised site squeezing as many pound notes in as possible, a lot of stress on the wrong day after a long journey, a lot easier if you have been before, very clean toilets, good warm showers, I'm just being honest, we won't be going again sorry

Yes a designated pitch would make life a lot better, if it was a simple drive in and out site then it would be ok to go find a pitch, but with the mishmash of cul-de-sacs it's not what you want after a long day on the road,

Not sure why you didn't just drive round the site. I'm sure if you'd asked the staff they'd have suggested a few pitches for you to look at based on your requirements.

This is the way the club operates--pitches are not allocated .

I regularly visit this site & I've never seen pitches being reserved using cones!!

Anyway each to their own I love it there & the clue is in the name it's a coppice!
