We visited 13th Feb for 3 nights, We were greeted by friendly staff and advised that part of the park was closed ( no problem ) Storm Dennis was due to hit this weekend and the wardens said if we had any problems to let them know. The site is spotless and they are forever cleaning up, always friendly and time to chat, massively helped us out when leaving as a bad crash due to the floods on our route home and caused delays up to 5 hours so we stayed on for a couple more hours to save us being sat in a jam - thank you The walking is fab and within reach of the old man of Coniston its a hard walk but worth it, close to the lake, also2 pubs ( turn left ) on an enclosed path, approx. 2 miles away turn right to the ship inn about a mile away This was our 3rd visit and wont be our last :-) keep up the good work
