I would suggest you don't try this site if you are not able to arrive early when the site is really busy such as at a bank holiday. Whilst it is a lovely site, we weren't able to get there until 7pm. It took us over an hour to find a free place to hook up which was on the main thoroughfare through the camp site, probably one of the worst places to be. We circled round each possible area at least 3 times trying to find a free slot. The pegs are very difficult to see when the site is so busy. Also, because people weren't telling the office when they had taken a site, many of the pegs they said were free were actually taken. We went expecting to see the lake but we were stuck under trees with no sunlight. It does seem unfair that even though we booked this site about 12 weeks ago, because we had to travel over 350 miles to get there we get stuck with such a bad site. Really really disappointed and won't be coming here again.
