Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was rather a learning curve for two seniors who are new to this but we would recommend this site. Next time we will be more confident. Definitely need to buy an aerial cable!! We walked into Coniston on a couple of occasions. It took about 40mins. So the Ship Inn was a good stopping off point(just over halfway) The site is well signed but the roads to it are quite narrow. No problem going but on leaving it took about half an hour to do one mile!! Rather hair raising at times--but just take your time. Lovely walk down to the Lake which the dog thoroughly enjoyed. The toilet block operated on a band system --a good idea providing people returned them ton the bucket on leaving!! -- cleaned regularly with plenty of hand sanitiser on site. Well done to the wardens. We will be back
