Lovely site, spoilt in autumn by noisy leaf blowers for much of the daytime
Very nice site, set in woodland. Facilities good, staff welcoming and helpful.
Dog walking excellent, both in the trees and down to Coniston Water.
Good facilities nearby, especially in Coniston village.
Two minor niggles......not many level pitches available (site is on a hillside), and as you are inevitably parked under trees, in autumn sleeping can be a little tricky with water dropping onto your caravan from the trees, as well as the inevitable rain - 80inches a year.
One major niggle if you like to be in your caravan during any part of autumn days.....the staff come round with motorised back-pack leaf blowers every day, and after the first couple of hours the constant lawnmower-like noise begins to get on our nerves. Do they really need to use them for so much of EVERY day.
I would come back here, just not in autumn.
