Lovely

Recently visited Coniston for the 3rd time. This time over an extended early May Bank Holiday weekend. We really like this site, as it is not set out in regimented lines. It gives the impression of being on a much smaller site, when actually it is massive. We had a great stay, the weather was reasonable, apart from Bank Holiday Monday, which is typical. We had some lovely walks and eat out at the Yewdale Inn in the Village a couple of times. We also had a drink at the Sun Inn and snacks at the Bluebird Cafe, after we'd done some water based activities down there. On previous visits we've eaten at the Ship Inn, but this wasn't yet open following Lockdown easing, as they don't have much of an outdoor area. I'm sure we'll be back again the next time we're fancying a visit to the Coniston area. The wristband system that the Club is using in the toilet blocks would work much better if people actually followed it properly, but this is the same at all Club sites atm and says more about the customers than the sites!
