We stayed at the site for the first time from the 15th to the 17th of October having only booked the Monday before having decided to take a bit of last minute break before a number of the sites shut for the winter. The reception team called us whilst we were on route to check we were okay as they knew of an accident on the motorway. A really good advert for the club and we hadn’t even arrived at that point. Check in was very quick, no issues, the team on reception gave us few suggestions for sites and we took one of these up with very nice quiet spot through the “green barrier”. Site was sloping but nothing that the ramps couldn’t cope with. The location was very quiet and little noise from round about.. The facilities were nearby and were spotlessly clean and warm which was a real blessing given it is now getting cooler. The site in general was clean, plenty of bins and the team on site were seen working hard to keep it that way. The weather was nice on the Saturday but it rained heavily on the Saturday night / Sunday morning so be prepared for lots of drips from trees. It sounded far worse than it was. We travelled to the site from the south as recommended. There are still few narrow points on route so be prepared to take your time. We will certainly be back.
