We spent 5 nights here recently. A pleasant large site with adequate & clean facilities given it's size. As well as the band system you also had a key for the shower blocks which was different to other sites we have stayed on but given the close proximity to an adjoining NT campsite I guess this is a requirement as accessibility couldn't otherwise be monitored..... Most pitches are in shade or dappled shade so be aware, it is also 'hilly' but pitches are reasonably level in most places. Had a lovely 1 hour boat trip on the Sunday, recommended. Coniston village has a Spar in the petrol station, an independent Co-op + a local store with a butchers. Pubs are plentiful for food & drink.
