Spent 10 days here in October. Managed to dodge the rain except for the last day so it was a good result. The site is big and busy. I’m used to smaller more settled sites but a lot of coming and going here made it feel less settled. Our pitch was near to the Lake path which suited us but it meant a lot of foot traffic going past us. The facilities were fine with the advantage of a dog wash so much pleased with that. I’m sure there are flat pitches to be had but ours was very uneven and blocks were essential. Glad we left just before half term as a couple youngsters arrived who were racing round on motorised bikes… it looked fun for them and I’m sure they loved it but I’m not sure it was safe for those on foot. All in all well worth the visit.
