The site is well laid out and pitches are well spaced. The site is in woodland which is not my favourite kind of site since it is a bit claustrophobic and, in summer, I suspect, a bit dark. There is therefore no view to be had from the site. That said, it is a ten minute walk to the lakeside and there's loads of views there! The pitches are generally flat but a a few are on a bit of a slope. The toilets are clean and site is well maintained. There is a playpark for kids which is fine. The Friday chip van is very good but a wee bit expensive if you are counting the pennies. Certainly ideal for walks and outdoorsy stuff. Nearest pub is about 20-25 minutes walk there and about an hour to crawl back in the dark. Worth visiting and will return.
