This is a fantastic site in the middle of the forrest on the banks of Conniston Water. if you are into water sports hill walking or a quiet pub lunch or dinner this is the site for you. My own treasured memory of being here was walking the dog early one morning thro the trees and coming across a young stag eating his breakfast he looked at us and we back at him and he wandered slowly away. the site is a pleasurable walk to the village of conniston and the pubs and shops. which can be very busy during the summer months. the main road access is narrow so make sure you approach from the way that the club guide recomends its also hand for Ambleside and all the other lakes attractions well worth a visit
