Just back from our first visit to a club site as new members. The site was perfect, upon arrival we was asked to go find a pitch which was nice as visiting other non club sites we have always been allocated a pitch and picking our own spot was really cool. All the pitches were spacious and felt really private and seculded in a woodland setting. The facilities were ace , toilets and showers spotless and show how dedicated the staff are at this site. Nothing was too much trouble to the hard working staff who helped tell us about the area and where we could go walking , cycling and find the nearest pub which is a short walk on paths right from the site. Eddie and Kath were very helpful with providing walking routes and telling us about the site and area , this is thier first season and if all staff are like them we are glad we have joined the club. We did walks to Tarn Hows, The lower slopes of the Old Man and the full ascent of the Old Man a great hike that is, and can be done from the site starting with a walk along the old railway path into Coniston and picking up the route by the Sun Hotel. We cycled from the site around the lake which on the opposite side is on very quiet roads and nothing too hilly. We really enjoyed our visit to Park Coppice and will return and if other club sites are like this one we look forward to visiting more. Thanks again to all the friendly staff especially Eddie and Kath
