Fantastic site, with amazing views. The site layout is good with small clusters of pitches which are private and just like being on a CL. Facility buildings are dotted around the site so you don’t have the trek that you sometimes do, they were spotless and the timings for cleaning aren’t at the inconvenient times they sometimes are at other sites. Staff are friendly helpful and were not as officious as some of the other sites. The little shop is well stocked and there was also a little chippy van on Friday and Pizza on Saturday night. Walks to Coniston are easily identified as is the walk back to trover if you wish. Its an excellent venue for an activity weekend or as we did a couple of leisurely walks with the odd hostelry visited. Well worth the visit.
