Easy to find site from the South via Newby Bridge. No real road issues and no blockages at entrance when we arrived. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Processed us quickly. The site covers a wide area, and the pitches are well spread out and scattered around in clusters, not the regimented uniform pitches often found on CC sites. Plenty of privacy and quiet cul-de-sacs! A lot of pitches are sloping, so bring levelling wedges. Some pitches are under trees, which is great for a bit of shade, but not good if you want bright sunshine - perfect for us as we have 3 dogs. Toilet block was immaculately clean, and you accessed with a key. Need a torch in the dark to find facilities as not well lit. Pubs 15 mins walk away. Coniston shops 20 mins walk, but small shop on site from 9 to 6 stocked all essentials. Fish and chip van comes to site several days per week in season. Good site, will go back again.
