We have been to this site quite a few times. We are always made to feel welcome and like being able to stay on a CC site in Winter in the Lake District. We have never found fault with this site and would recommend it to anyone, with or without children. Having said that, in Summer it is a very family oriented site and is very 'lively' with the sound of happy youngsters. In Winter, part of the site is closed (not a problem as it is such a large site) and it tends to be fairly quiet. My only warning is that the only realistic approach is from the south, and the road becomes very narrow and 'bendy' a few times - just be careful and take it slowly. We have never had a major problem, but care is recommended!
