I cannot understand the previous reviewers comments. It is located in a coppiced area - the title is a bit of a clue - There are trees as one would expect. We did not consider the facilities were spaced too far apart, how close does he/she want them? We thoroughly enjoyed the site and if the weather had been very hot, the shade from the trees would have been pleasant. Hardstandings are by nature gravel of one sort or another. Would he/she have preferred grass pitches which could easily have been waterlogged? I certainly did not consider it claustrophobic. As for the size of the site it does say in the information how many pitches there are so why did he/she book without checking. My wife and I loved the site. We have to agree with the comment prior to the last one that many people think the rule about dogs on leads does not apply to them. Perhaps those people should consider the rule about a 5mph speed limit does not apply and the implication if their dog ran into the road. We would certainly return if it was closer to Dorset.
