A busy weekend but still a peaceful site!

With the promise of some sunshine and warmth it was not surprising the site was extremely busy over this last weekend. However the Lakeland weather did still manage to dampen things somewhat! Given all that the site was really quite peaceful as usual and facilities kept up to standard. Only gripe is no lighting over the wash cubicles if you're an early riser! Easy walking either into Coniston or to Torver on the old railway line or you can add a little more interest by taking the path, again either way along the side of the lake. We decided to try the Wilson Arms at Torver on sunday and can say that the quality and quantity of food was very good. Limited menu but good, with some fine ale too! Then a gentle walk back to round of the day!
