4 night motorhome stay
This was only our second campsite stay in our new Motorhome, so we're still on a steep learning curve.
The staff on the campsite were very friendly and took time out to offer us advice on certain aspects of Motorhoming.
The toilets were open but not showers due to covid restrictions.
What facilities were very clean .
The new drive over Motorhome point is really good.
The hard standing pitch was quite level and large enough for our awning.
The only negative about the pitch was that , unfortunately for us, fresh slate chippings had been added which is good apart from the amount of dust from this making a mess. It just needs a few good rain downpours to solve this.
We walked along side the lake towards Coniston one way and Torver in the other direction. Both took around 30 minutes.
We also had a ride out to ambleside which is around 6 miles away. The road is narrow in places ,so expect to have to stop for oncoming traffic on occasion.
On our first night we prebooked a takeaway from the online from the visiting food van.
Unfortunately this was very disappointing & wouldn't recommend it.
The club could do with looking into this.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and can reccomend it.
