10 Night Stay 15 to 23 October 2021

First extended trip with caravan and this site was absolutely excellent. It was very peaceful and despite having 250 pitches mainly occupied it remained quiet as very well laid out. Facilities are excellent and always very clean and the staff on site were very friendly and helpful. Wasn't the best of weather with torrential rain for several days and being amongst trees, that made the heavy rain worse. However it is the Lake District and I still enjoyed the holiday and would certainly stay on this site again. The Pizza / Chip van is also excellent. I enjoyed a pizza from there on my last night and it was great. Location is excellent as short walk from Lake and a short walk into Coniston. I enjoyed a trip on the Launch from Coniston down the Lake to Sunnybank and very pleasant walk back. TV coverage is not great but you can buy an aerial cable that plugs in on the EHU. I didn't do this as not really bothered about TV but for those who are, there its a solution. Best route to site is from A590 at Greenodd, through to Torver and then onto the Coppice. Some areas the road does narrow and you can be close to buildings and stone walls so care required on travel. Other drivers were the challenge as oncoming too fast and therefore not giving much space.
