We have used this site twice in two weeks on trip too and from Brighton, on both occasions the wardens were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night on each occasion as a stop over, pitches are level and of a generous size, easy access from A1 if heading south it's like a countryside oasis once on site. Considering the proximity to the A1 we heard no road noise or any noise from near by hospital. There is a nice pub/grill house about a 10 min walk from site (Coopers) lovely food and atmosphere if slightly pricey. Would recommend as a great stopover can't comment on longer stays.
