Lovely site, beautiful peaceful location

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at Coed Y Llwyn site, whilst touring around Wales and the Cotswolds. This was our first stop on our tour and we were not disappointed. The site itself is set in a very quiet & peaceful location, just through a very small village. The site itself has several levels to it with plenty of variance of pitches, we decided to pitch on the lower part of the site to the left of the main office. However after having a walk around this well kept site I think we would have been happy in any part of it. We booked a hard standing pitch, which was large and had plenty of space for our caravan, awning and car and also had some large grass area's around it which were great for our dogs (and us) to chill out on. One of the things I always like about club sites is the fact that you know what you are going to get when it comes to the toilet blocks. I have to say this site did not disappoint, the facilities look brand new, are bright and airy and I liked the fact that the facilities had a pocket door half way down them so they could remain open when cleaning took place with only half of the toilets, showers and sinks closed at anyone time. As usual the facilities were absolutely immaculate and clean. In term of the location, there is a lovely pub about 10 seconds walk from the site..... yep, literally out of the site and into the pub. (despite this, we had no noise from there). I would highly recommend visiting for a drink and food (Bryn Arms). For travelling we found it to be ideal for exploring with Porthmadog & Portmeirion close by (15 minutes drive). In addition if you have dogs or just fancy a trip to the beach I can recommend Black Rock Sands, which is dog friendly and you can park your car on the beach (for a charge of £8). Anglesey is about an hours drive from the site if you want to go a little further when exploring. Overall a beautiful, peaceful, well kept, clean and tidy site that we will stay at again.
