Good for families

Wonderful fortnight with plenty of things to do close at hand

We stayed at Coed-Y-Llwyn for two weeks spanning the end of July and beginning of August 2017. The weather was far from perfect but that's summer in the UK!!! We were greeted by Sarah and Aubrey upon arrival. They were brilliant! Right through our stay, they were always friendly and approachable and happy to offer advice. They work so hard to keep the site clean and tidy and looking amazing - thank you for all your efforts. The area has plenty to do within an hour or so drive - we loved the Quarry Explorer, Bounce Below and the Deep Mine Tour at Ffestiniog - very interesting and informative. Anglesey was only just over an hour away too so we visited family who were staying in Rhosneigr and had a great day on the beach - with some sunshine! This was our first trip in our van without Mum (my wife) who passed away in June so it was a bit of a tough trip. Our boys really wanted to go as Mum booked the trip earlier in the year and she loved time away BUT.....she was the organiser (as I apparently don't have the attention to detail!!) so I had it in my mind that we were leaving on Sunday....I was wrong! We were booked to depart on Saturday!!! Aubrey and Sarah spotted that we weren't making a move to pack up and very politely mentioned it to us. The boys were gutted!! I felt dreadful but Aubrey and Sarah, despite having every pitch filled, went out of their way and found us a "non-pitch" that we could stay on overnight!!! Thank you so much for really going above and beyond to help us out - they boys really appreciated it, as did we all, and it is so lovely to meet two people to whom the job is not just about doing the least possible. Lovely site, lovely people, great location - we will definitely be going again at some point in the future.
