One vert poor warden

The site is standard CMC with lots of different sections in amongst the trees. Not easy to get a sunny pitch if that is your preference. The toilet/shower block is very clean but CMC standard 70's look. The information hut is excellent with the wardens own offerings of 'good days out with a dog' lists and lots of walks to follow. Sadly we had a horrendous arrival with the older of the two lady wardens. She ordered my husband out of the office with the dog, there weren't any "No Dogs" sign the door. She didn't welcome me or ask any of the normal 'journey, how far, traffic, type of questions. she highlighted the vacant pitches and told me to go and find my pitch and let her know. about 5 minutes later we were asking her husband if we could use a certain pitch, it had a bollard on the stones, but was marked as vacant, when she came round the corner shouting at him to get us to move our MH as it was big and blocking the drive so there was a queue, all of 3 outfits. He looked mortified! Later I went back to the office to notify her of our pitch number and I asked her about Heritage Trains and dogs. Her response was - no dogs on any of them, which is wrong. Go and look in the information booth, she ordered. I did and found that the CMC list of good days out with your dog contained 3 of the local train trips. She did however tell me how to catch the bus and where the bus stop was. Maybe we just caught her on a bad day but we avoided the office after that. The area is fabulous and there is so much to see and do that we shall return but maybe not to this site.
