We stayed here for three nights in August. Somehow I managed to book a pitch with no awning. Don't know about anyone else but we rely heavily on our little porch awning especially if its raining for shoe storage, towel drying, dog feeding, etc. Because the site was full we had to take a non-awning pitch. I asked if we could still put our little awning up as it would fit but that wasn't allowed. We did start to wonder what the point is of these pitches as they are the same price. The warden was very patient with me and we were able to move to a different pitch with awning the next day. This site has a small perfectly adequate dog walk with a stone path so it never got muddy. This site also has the best play area we've visited. Something for the older kids rather than just toddlers in a field area away from the caravans. Would definitely stay here again as there's so much in the area to visit.
