Perfect location to explore the Snowdonia National Park. There's a cycle path just up the road that will get you over to Trawsfynydd Lake and on to the Coed-Y-Brenin MTB centre if need be. Plenty of great walks with the dog and the scenery is stunning. We use this site as a stopover on the way North quite a lot. The curry night in the Bryn Arms across the road is a belter, give it a go on a Friday. Really friendly staff and there were 3 different curry choices, along with rice, chips, poppadom and mango chutney :-). The rest of the menu looked good as well.
