Pleasantly suprised!

We used Clumber Park to stop off on our way north and we liked it so much we are going to go back and stay for a little longer. Its worth staying more than one night here. The site was easy to find from the A1 and very quiet. The wardens were in good humour and really friendly both on arrival and departure. Although the site is in the forest its very open and light, the landscaping is really well done as I expected it to be dark and gloomy but in fact it is the opposite. At the time of staying (5th Nov) all the grass pitches were closed and it was hard standing only, I can imagine it gets very busy in peak times due to being able to ride bikes and walk into the park direct from the site but for us it was much quieter and really good to be able to stretch both human and canine legs and explore. Because we only stayed one night we didnt venture out of the park itself but there seems to be allot to explore round about. Overall Clumber is a credit to the network and everything you expect from a Caravan Cub site!
