Good for families

mixed review....

just returned from a lovely weekend, only a shame to be spoilt by a very rude set of wardens, if we have broken any of your rules [ we had made a dog pen around our awning ] and our dogs were loose inside , apparently they still need to be fastened up ! we assumed this was ok as the wardens have loose dogs in there enclosures.....please don't shout at us from a distance, in an aggressive manner so all around can here, please approach us and discuss it in a reasonable manner, our dogs were not rowdy, you hadn't received any complaints, this was totally inappropriate behaviour, we chose not to engage with the wardens but it did upset my wife greatly & cast a shadow over the weekend. on the flip site of all this, the campsite was busy with families having a great weekend, the facilities were still up to the clubs high standards, & we will return.

It's a shame when we can't be treated as customers by some of these wardens, we had one shouting the odds a couple of years ago at Tewkesbury, his mate had to calm him down, next thing he is flying round the site on a ride on mower. Good manners should be compulsory for wardens, no need to treat us like children, we are after all paying their wages.

That makes me a bit reluctant to visit as that is what we do with our dogs sometimes with the windbreak.

No problem with the windbreaks, MS, providing they don’t breach the spacing rules, but dogs should be on leads/tethered at all times on club sites with the lead not exceeding 2m.

Hmm.  Dogs were certainly not all on leads last week at CMC Chatsworth.

Obviously you spoke to the warden about it.

Yes, all very nice but did you have any thoughts about the next members who arrive on your pitch or for the families who are on site and the possibility of excited un-tethered dogs escaping from the enclosure and 'upsetting ' young children. The rules of the Club are there for us all in order that we can all enjoy the site, irrespective of our personal wants.

THE comment about wardens dogs being loose in the well built wooden compounds is a bit diffevent to a canvas awning with "dog  compound?"undecided

We have been to Clumber Park site with our dog twice this year and found  all the the site staff very agreeable
