Mid Week Break

This was our first visit to the site and it wont be our last, easy to reach from the A1 and set in a lovely area with lots to see and do such as Clumber Park with its many walks bike rides, National Trust Property at Southwell and the Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre to name a few. The wardens are welcoming, friendly and very helpful and a credit to the Caravan Club. Just a note of warning Pitch 42 is at the entrance to the dog walk/wood and is open to miss use by bikes and pedestrians. I was nearly knocked over by an adult on a bike using our pitch as a short cut to the road and on more than one occassion people walked across the front of our caravan onto the pitch and out in the woods. We mentioned this to the wardens and they kindly gave us a cone to try and stop the miss use of the pitch however it does require a permanent solution to this problem and we wont use the pitch again
