Great location for visiting Robin Hood country

First time visit for a family of 5 and a dog. Great location if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Sherwood forest and Clumber Park itself. The site was a typical C&M site but as previous reviewers have noted perhaps the facilities are a little dated albeit nearing the end of the season so they will have been well used. Even with children with us it was a little disturbing how other parents allow their children to be as noisy so late. I spoke to the Warden who informed me that when he asked a particular child to keep the noise down that he was sworn at. I would not expect that on a C&M site. Pitches were good, mainly flat with plenty of hardstanding. Surrounding area was picturesque and the trees helped keep Brian out :-). All in all a nice site with plenty to do around. It is certainly somewhere that we would revisit. In respect of Clumber Park National Park we decided to walk in rather than pay the entry fee. A fair walk but recommended as a lovely area with plenty to do and see.
