Feel Sorry for Staff

Currently on this site and have witnessed the hard working staff keeping the site in super condition. Spotless facilities and clean tidy site as usual on Club sites. However the members are not making their lives easy. The worst problem is the speed of drivers including those towing is well in excess of 5mp, easily upwards to 30mph. This added to the many children enjoying the freedom of the outdoors, many on bikes, is an accident waiting to happen. Members it is not the job of staff to police the speed but us as members. Many groups of people having a lovely weekend away allow their children to entertain themselves out of sight, surely 10.00pm is a reasonable time to bring them back to their pitch, chasing in and out of shower blocks and cubicles is not acceptable at any time of day. The club sites are there for us all to enjoy 7 days a week. Surely it is not too much to ask that we respect everyone’s peace and quiet.

I agree totally with Mg55. We were at Clumber Spring Bank week and it was packed. We had 2 children all week plus 3 grandchildren for 2 nights and none of them were allowed to be away from our motorhome on their own. There were lots of kids riding their bikes at more than 5mph and riding them the opposite way to which the traffic has to go. I agree an accident waiting to happen.

I think there should be a rule that children are not allowed in the toilet blocks on their own as everytime I went to the block at least 2 toilets were completely blocked and full of poo. Children were running in and out playing tig. We pay more than usual for a pitch at Clumber because it is kept nice and the showers and toilets are kept clean, so please all parents make sure you go with your children to make sure they leave toilets fit for the next person to use and dont give them the code number then they cant play in the shower blocks.

I also think that there should be a time that all kids should be off the park as we walked our dog some nights gone 10pm and kids were still on the swings shouting and playing. Totally not fair on people who want a bit of peace.

We NEVER exceed 5mph on site.  As parents we totally agree that limit should be respected.  However, also as parents we expect the current crop of parents to supervise their children.  So many sites we have visited where the little treasures have been found blocking/flooding toilets/sinks, riding against the one way system or banging balls/frisbees off adjacent vans.
