Fabulous site in a peaceful location with lovely walks through National Trust grounds

We've just returned from a 5 day stay at this lovely site and had 3 beautiful sunny days. The site is spotlessly clean and the pitches, mostly hard standing, are large and level. There was only one toilet block open which was fine during the week. They opened the second toilet block on the Friday in time for the influx of caravanners and motor homers as the site was full. The wardens were so friendly and informative and explained everything in detail. The wi-fi is non-existent and there is no telephone signal, which we found a little difficult as we were expecting visitors and couldn't explain where to meet them. There are some great walks through National Trust grounds and the visitors centre facing the lake is a wonderful place to have a coffee. Thank you. A & J

Looking forward to our next trip to this brilliant site. The surroundings are so peaceful and the facilities fantastic.  The toilet block is very clean and warm.

The staff so helpful. Definitely recommend and will be visiting very soon.
