Good for families

connectivity minimal, site office invisible

This site has an excellent National Trust estate location and the walking and cycling from the site is superb. I think that is why it is so popular and perhaps explains a lack of investment. There is no mobile signal on site and very very poor wifi and you need a tv booster cable. Needs investment Caravan club. Although we were there in early season, the site was full ( some pitches not in use) for the weekend and yet there is only one pair of wardens on site and only one toilet block open. Also, there was no sign indicating office opening hours and I would expect it to open before 0930 on a sunday morning when the site is full. Our needs were simple, we only wanted change for the tumble dryers, so we wouldn't of course ring the emergency number, but it was inconvenient not to know what time the office opened.Warden's attitude didn't appear member centric, but perhaps there should be two couples on this site, perhaps he is overworked.
