My family and I have just returned from a long weekend at Clumber. It's one of our favourite sites both for access and location. As expected over Easter the site was very busy, lots of children playing and cycling around. I love to hear the sound of children laughing and playing in the playground.
Even though the weather wasn't great there are plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained. Miles and miles of walks and cycles through the trees, a visit to the National Trust house and gardens is a must and a visit to the Walled Kitchen restaurant gives the necessary sustenance to get you back to the campsite. We will be returning again and are already looking forward to our visit.
Clean up after you!!!!
We have just had a wonderful stay at Clumber Park Site. My only critisism is with members NOT staff. I used the mens shower block on Friday morning, and all the shower cubicles had been left sludgy. MEN, use the equipment provided to clean the shower you have used, and, don't just expect the next person to clean up after you. Oh for the return of the " mop bucket "
Please everyone, the wardens do a fantastic job, so lets do our bit, and leave things as we find them.
Weekend
Had a wonderful weekend here 27th March, this site is in a great location in the forest with fantastic walks.
If you want to get away from all the stresses of a hectic life then this is the place to unwind, no mobile phone signals and when we went even the Wi Fi didn't work. On arrival the Wardens were very helpful and friendly, one and only criticism was that my wife needed the toilet at the time that they had just been closed for cleaning to be told by a lady warden that it's tough luck and to use the other block, really no need for that response think she needs a lesson in customer care!!
Family fun in the heart of the forest
Clumber is one of our favourite club sites. Our two children (7 and 4) spent the whole weekend making new friends on the fantastic club playground, playing in the forest that surrounds the site, listening to story time at the National Triust discovery centre and cycling around the park. There wasn't any wifi or phone reception on site and, as busy working parents, we really enjoyed the time away from technology. Well done Clumber, we will be returning as soon as we can.
Lovely site
We stayed here last weekend, great site only minutes from the A1. Its quiet and peaceful and the walks in the forest are amazing. My 12 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed it and made new friends whilst there.
The wardens are lovely and on hand to give help and advice if needed.
All in all a good site with clean facilities and a park and lots of walks and things around it to see and do.
Fantastic location
Stayed here last weekend in march , when I arrived at 3pm Friday there were no hardstandings left which wasn't a problem as it had been dry for a while and the grass was well kept .
The site was very busy but it was never a problem waiting for showers . For walking and biking or just chilling the site is 10/10 .
Being I ve paid for Internet it would be nice to be able to use it . Overall 8/10 , I will be back as it's only 30 mins away .
facilities at cliumber park
great location and setting however its a shame there
was a toliet block closed no sign of any work being carried out.Shop did not have hardly any supplies
which was bad as no shops near by.Will come back again but am surprised there are so many hard standing pitches which need to be imspected for debri ie glass we need more grass1

Nice site
Climber park site is a very peaceful, well maintained site. Wii-fi was very poor though. Wardens are new and very friendly - good luck to them for the future. Only one toilet block was open as we were told this is due to refurbishment. Didn't actually see any action going on there though! Unfortunately because of this, I had to queue up for a shower at 7.30 a.m! We had hoped there would be a bus stop near to the site but sadly not. We have a moterhome and used it to get around. Good parking at Sherwood Forest for it. We used tram and ride on a Sunday to get into Nottingham. (Park & ride not open Sunday's) There was a height barrier so were unable to get into the car park but luckily found a layby near it, so left moterhome there. Free parking at the climber park visitor centre if you show your caravan club pitch marker - saves £6.80. Would recommend this site
Wifi
Lovely weekend, but oh please sort out the wifi. We had a strong signal but unable to connect. Air angel said it would sort it out,but they didn't. No change on this nice the last time we visited two years ago

first weekend of the year.
Had a lovely weekend at Clumber. A very convenient site for us just 45 minutes from home. The site is in a great location for bike rides and walking the dogs.
The only downside to this stay was the fact that there was only toilet block whether this was for renovation but it seemed to tie in with the fact that only hard standing pitches were available.Retford and Workop are small towns close by, good for picking up supplies.
