We came back from Clumber last weekend and had a lovely relaxing weekend as usual, with some biking thrown in and we will come back again but probably next year now. No, it isn't the most up to date site, but it is in an amazing setting. Some pitches are in need of upgrading and the toilet blocks are not as up to date as some sites, but nevertheless they are clean and very functional. This does not stop us returning to the site. The food vans on site are a nice touch, albeit a little expensive. What I am saddened by though, is irresponsible dog owners allowing their pets foul on the road or grass and not picking it up. I read this on a review recently before returning to site and was disappointed to see it myself, first hand. Clearly, from speaking to staff, this is an ongoing problem. It isn't the animals fault but the owners and isn't acceptable by any means. Shame on those people for their laziness and lack of respect towards other users. The staff sorted this out however and removed the dog fowl straight away. Cannot fault the staff - always friendly and helpful, despite what they have to deal with.
