2nd visit to Clumber Park

Myself, my husband and 3 children (9,7&2yrs) just recently visited Clumber park for 6 nights.  It is set in over 3000 acres of woodland, giving it an impression of peace and tranquility. Clumber park itself has many walks and cycle tracks which makes it perfect for seeing the outdoors.  The site itself has a play park for the children, which all of my children enjoyed.  We found a pitch a little way, from the park as it does get really busy and noisy. Although it states it closes at dusk, children can be heard playing football 9-10pm at night.  As its set in the park land, the site has had problems with bike theft and are trying to solve the problem with a bike lock up and over night security.  A key has to be used to access the toilet block facilities, which can be a little annoying, but understand why this is done. Sure the wardens are very friendly, but never had anything to do with them during our stay.  We visited wheel gate whilst we stayed here, which I would throughly recommend. Great day out for all of our children - def for up to the ages of 12ish. ( get your money off coupon on the leaflet in the info hut first)  National trust are doing free sports over the summer at the Clumber park visitor centre which is great too. Good holiday all round.
