Woodland Wildlife Oasis
What a wonderful and idyllic site. The wildlife was phenomenal even for early October. Although quite near the road there was little or no road noise. In fact the most noise came from the coal tits and chaffinch on our bird feeder (there were dozens of them). We had a good pitch with views down the glen to Killin and up towards the lower reaches of Ben Lawers. I would agree with anniepannieh that it's not a particularly good site for children and it is a reasonable walk on a narrow and sometimes steep road into Killin. There are loads of places to eat though and 3 or 4 give a 10% discount on food for Club members. We had quite heavy rain for our first couple of days and the falls in Killin were the most spectacular I have ever seen them. Love this site for its wooded tranquillity and harmony with nature.
