A wonderful site with the best volunteer wardens ever
This is a wonderful peaceful site and a paradise for bird watchers. Where else can you sit in your caravan and watch a Willow Warbler, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Red Start for example. Dave and Lucille the volunteer wardens have made a tremendous difference and improved the site no end. They have kept the amazing biodiversity of the site by trimming back some of the bracken to allow wonderful wild flowers to flourish. Such as Violets, Anemone, Campion, Celandine and others. There is even Bog Bean growing in the marshy area. They have put in lovely little touches like flower tubs, hanging baskets and a bench seat by the burn (stream) where you can sit in peace and watch birds. It is still a very natural site but just lovingly tended by these two very helpful and amazing wardens. Nothing is too much trouble for Dave - he helps out everyone. This is a gem of a site, particularly for those who don't need or want a toilet block, but just want peace and quiet in the woods. Well done the Caravan Club for this beautiful site. Highly recommended.
