A newbie needs to learn

As a complete novice to motorhoming, I acknowledge that I have much to learn. Yet possibly the best way is to try things. The following are observations, not complaints. The access to this site is by a code supplied by the nearby CC site. On arrival, the warden (helpfully) jumped out and typed in her own code to open the barrier for me. Result? I still didn't know how to enter the barrier code. I stopped in a pitch for 5 minutes whilst I walked round the site (to avoid reversing the new motorhome until the last possible minute). The other warden jumped out (helpfully) to say that the pitch I was in was a non- hookup site and that pitch such-and-such would be much better. Result? I felt pressured onto a pitch which might not have been my own choice. The motorhome grey water disposal was so positioned that I had to turn the vehicle to  face against the one-way system. Fortunately it was so far from the wardens' hut that I didn't get pounced upon again. A very nice, quiet site in a great location; slightly too helpful wardens. I continue to learn - slowly.
