What could be better than to spend a few away days in the Cottswolds?
Not much. Other than to spend those days at the Cirencester club site.
Staff couldn't be friendlier. Couldn't be more helpful. I'm disabled and they made sure everything was okay.
Facilities. Perfect clean and very well maintained.
Location very easy access into the historic Roman Town. Once the Roman Centre of the Cottswolds.
Myself my Wife and our two dogs love it. Only one issue. TV reception is rubbish, but Hey your on a break! A holiday. Give tv a rest enjoy the peace and quiet.
Colin with Petunia the camper.
Lovely site with great facilities
I stayed for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed my stay. The site is very green with lots of trees and grass, with reasonably well spaced pitches so it doesn't feel too crowded. The birds were tweeting away, and a local fox paid a visit to the site on 2 of the evenings, no doubt helping to manage the rabbit population.
The facilities were spotless, and the showers hot and well designed so clothes and shoes don't get damp.
A new café has opened at the Kennels in Cirencester Park and it is 5 minutes walk from the site. They serve excellent food and are dog friendly, but the evening meals in particular are not cheap. That said, it was really top notch dining without being a stuffy atmosphere.
The site is an easy walk into Cirencester and the wardens friendly and welcoming.
Pitches too small, cars everywhere
We enjoyed the walk through the park into Cirencester but were disappointed with our pitch, it was supposed to be an awning pitch, but would would not fit a car/ caravan/ awning. Those around us were similar, so there were cars parked in front of units, very unsightly. This is common on the continent but you’re only paying €20 except in highest season
The loo cleaning took place in the afternoon, very sensible
Good experience, will be back
Lovely welcome on arrival, finding my pitch and getting organised with the team easy and no problems. The site has a great feeling of space, very well laid out and feels comfortable !
Good facilities, as you would expect, but have stayed here several times in all weathers, and the standards are always high.
Walk into Cirencester is about 20 minutes, through the Bathurst Country Park, or follow the main road. Cirencester has a lot of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and the usual banks etc. It is also a good base to explore the Cotswolds.
Good for dogs and children, large enclosed grass field for dogs and separate grass playing field for everyone else.
I enjoy my stays at Cirencester Park.
Recent Stay
We are regular visitors. The toilets etc are immaculate. The site looks so lovely with the addition of new bird boxes, planters and flowers. The managers are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Lovely site
We had a lovely stay in March. The weather was very wet but this didn’t stop us enjoying our stay. The toilets and showers were spotless. The site was well kept considering the wet March we had. The on-site wardens were pleasant especially Chris and Deb who made our stay extra special during the wet weather. A good site to bring our dog and a great location for a short break. We look forward to returning.
First Visit to This Brilliant Location
This is the first time we have visited this site. The access is good, you are on a bus route (we are a motorhome and usually either use the bus or bikes or walk once settled). The park nearby is amazing and it is such an easy flat walk or cycle into Cirencester which is a bustling Cotswold town. The site sits adjacent to the 15,000 acre Bathurst estate. The public are allowed access to a grounds during the day (8am to 5pm) and it's a pleasant walk through the park to the town centre. Ideal for those with dogs or just who like to walk.
We really enjoyed the time spent here, spending two nights on this occasion. The hard standings vary and grass was not an option when we stayed in March, but some of the hardstandings are slightly smaller for a van and awning, so cars are often parked on the grass which damages the surface for others afterwards.
We are lucky to have this calibre of location and we would certainly return and considering the time of the year it was a reasonable price.
There are also a number of local tourist venues such as the Arboritum at Westonbirt as well as the Corinium Museum and Amphitheater in Cirencester. Stroud and Gloucester as well as Cheltenham are also close.
A definite gem in the Club's portfolio.
Convenient location for Cirencester
Located just off the A429 the site is easy to find. The access road is single lane with passing places and runs alongside the grounds of Cirencester college. During our stay there was very little disturbance from the college but that may differ during the year.
It's a typical club site. The grounds are well maintained, the ammenities block, which looked fairly new, was clean and tidy. There's an area for dogs to be excercised and there is also a childrens play area; although this and what appeared to be most of the grass only section of the site was closed to units. Due, I believe, to the ground being waterlogged. The visitor car park was closed for the same reason.
The site is extremely convenient for Cirencester and sits adjacent to the 15,000 acre Bathurst estate. The public are allowed access to a grounds during the day (8am to 5pm) and it's a pleasant walk through the park to the town centre. The town itself has all the facilities, attractions, shops and restaurants you would expect.
Definitely come back again.
Great site in a fab location
We stayed here for 2 nights in our new motorhome in March 2023. It is a great site, check in was quick and efficient with a choice of pitches. Facilities were very clean and the location was the best thing, just a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Cirencester. During the day you can walk through the park which is beautiful, at night it is a easy walk down the main road.
Later in the season there are food offerings on site but it was the first weekend of the year the site was open so nothing on site but plenty of choice in Cirencester. We travelled with our dog and the site is well set up for pets. As usual they need to be on a lead but there is a dog agility area and an off lead field area. Plenty of poo bins and even a dog washing area. We will definitely return here!
Cirencester in March
A short 2-night stay for a birthday celebration weekend away. Having negotiated the boulder edged narrow single lane track to the site entrance without mishap (you do have to question why the boulders are needed??) we were pleasantly surprised to find that the wardens were "fast-tracking" arrivals by getting you cleared away from the arrivals lane pretty pronto, with a cheery "come back and tell us where you've pitched when you're ready" message.
The site was clean and fairly well maintained, albeit there were ground works evident with new hard standings being laid to site. The washroom was in good order with only a small amount of wear and tear evident. Our dealings with the wardens were pleasant and on the whole, there was a good atmosphere.
Mobile phone signal was miserable (3 Network) but free-to-air TV appeared to be manageable. Ideally situated for an easy 15 min walk into Cirencester and Bathurst Great Park, we would look to return again.
