Return visit x4

We have stayed here before- fourth visit now so obviously we like it here on the edge of the Bathurst estate. Lovely location with about a one mile walk into town, most of which is covered by other reviewers. It’s a large site and the staff work tirelessly to keep up standards. No complaints there but, as mentioned in the site information, it has poor tv reception - In fact it has no tv reception and the tall trees obscure satellite reception as well so I purchased cable from the shop to connect my van to a tv signal box on the site distribution box only to find that it was not working either. Wi-Fi is being updated and was not available either. Very disappointing on an otherwise top site.

Good site but grounds needs attention.

This is our third visit to Cirencester site ,the entrance road is fine as long as those already on site remember that they too had to arrive at 1.00pm- so why decide to go out in their vehicles just when caravans are trying to get in ?? The site is large, with two clean well maintained facilities blocks and several service points around the site. Excellent walking throughout the Bathurst Estate next door and walks in and around Cirencester (found the open air swimming pool on Riverside walk and lovely grassed areas behind the Abbey.) Good variety of small shops & markets on different days, indoor markets held in Cornhall - lovely cafe inside & dogs allowed . No big stores in town - M&S & Morrisons are food only but that's no problem. Foodie vans on site on different nights but cannot comment as did not try. Biggest disappointment is with the site itself - the hard standing pitches are not good quality for the price. The surfaces on a lot are mossy/weeds, with awful stones & very difficult to hammer steel pegs in for awning- bent pegs ! Also groundwork on site is not up to usual standards - grass was left uncut between grass pitches ,nettles and brambles growing rampant around back of pitches and on dog field, some trees have got far too big for site - I'm all for nature & wildlife but in parts it looked very unkempt - the site is next to a massive estate park- plenty for bees & birds. Come on CAMC - We pay a lot of hard earned money for our way of holiday leisure, don't let your standards drop. This is a lovely site with a lot to offer - get an outside ground force team in to tackle the issues needed so site wardens can continue their excellent customer service- if commercial sites can maintain standards & offer value for money so can you..

Lovely site, great location. Brilliant Team of Staff!

We visited this site and stayed for 3 nights. The location is perfect with many different options for activities, walking and restaurants/cafes close by. The site is very well run by a brilliant team of people who go out of their way to help whenever they can. The facilities are kept very clean and tidy along with the grounds being well maintained. We would definitely recommend this site to others. Thank you for our stay and thank you for being so welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful Site Well Maintained Spacious.

What could be better than to spend a few away days in the Cottswolds? Not much. Other than to spend those days at the Cirencester club site. Staff couldn't be friendlier. Couldn't be more helpful. I'm disabled and they made sure everything was okay. Facilities. Perfect clean and very well maintained. Location very easy access into the historic Roman Town. Once the Roman Centre of the Cottswolds. Myself my Wife and our two dogs love it. Only one issue. TV reception is rubbish, but Hey your on a break! A holiday. Give tv a rest enjoy the peace and quiet. Colin with Petunia the camper.

Lovely site with great facilities

I stayed for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed my stay. The site is very green with lots of trees and grass, with reasonably well spaced pitches so it doesn't feel too crowded. The birds were tweeting away, and a local fox paid a visit to the site on 2 of the evenings, no doubt helping to manage the rabbit population. The facilities were spotless, and the showers hot and well designed so clothes and shoes don't get damp. A new café has opened at the Kennels in Cirencester Park and it is 5 minutes walk from the site. They serve excellent food and are dog friendly, but the evening meals in particular are not cheap. That said, it was really top notch dining without being a stuffy atmosphere. The site is an easy walk into Cirencester and the wardens friendly and welcoming.

Pitches too small, cars everywhere

We enjoyed the walk through the park into Cirencester but were disappointed with our pitch, it was supposed to be an awning pitch, but would would not fit a car/ caravan/ awning. Those around us were similar, so there were cars parked in front of units, very unsightly. This is common on the continent but you’re only paying €20 except in highest season The loo cleaning took place in the afternoon, very sensible

Good experience, will be back

Lovely welcome on arrival, finding my pitch and getting organised with the team easy and no problems. The site has a great feeling of space, very well laid out and feels comfortable ! Good facilities, as you would expect, but have stayed here several times in all weathers, and the standards are always high. Walk into Cirencester is about 20 minutes, through the Bathurst Country Park, or follow the main road. Cirencester has a lot of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and the usual banks etc. It is also a good base to explore the Cotswolds. Good for dogs and children, large enclosed grass field for dogs and separate grass playing field for everyone else. I enjoy my stays at Cirencester Park.

Recent Stay

We are regular visitors. The toilets etc are immaculate. The site looks so lovely with the addition of new bird boxes, planters and flowers. The managers are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely site

We had a lovely stay in March. The weather was very wet but this didn’t stop us enjoying our stay. The toilets and showers were spotless. The site was well kept considering the wet March we had. The on-site wardens were pleasant especially Chris and Deb who made our stay extra special during the wet weather. A good site to bring our dog and a great location for a short break. We look forward to returning.
