A pleasant, open and level campsite in Cheshire, bordered by oak trees, Chester Fairoaks Club Campsite is conveniently placed just off the M53 gateway to North Wales and close to the delightful walled city of Chester. This campsite is also close to a lovely canal walkway, a local swimming pool, and has two pubs and shops just a short walk away.

Take in the sights while relaxing in an open top bus or wander around The Walls to absorb the colourful atmosphere. Immerse yourself in some history and tradition by seeing the town crier, the incredible 900-year old Cathedral and the Roman Amphitheatre. If all that sightseeing builds up your appetite, there are plenty of excellent restaurants on hand and for those who like a spot of shopping, The Rows Shopping Galleries will leave you spoilt for choice. With 12,000 animals to see in 110 acres of gardens, nearby Chester Zoo is a fun day out for the whole family. All in all, the campsite offers something for the whole family.

We have stayed here a few time and normally have a hard standing. This time there were only grass pitches available as the site was fully booked for hard standings on one of the dates we needed. The grass pitches were not well marked out (pitches 22 to 25). The result... Show more

Very friendly and welcoming Staff. The Rake hotel next door serves beautiful food and great tasting local ales. Only 10min walk to shopping village. We found a good dog walk, by turning left out of club site and turning left 50 m onto circular track. We’ll definitely be back.

Site is well located and staff very helpful. On arrival given options to park up and local amenities explained. The facilities were excellent and a nice pub just 200 yards down the road.

Thank you, Warden!

Arriving on a busy summer Friday evening I couldn't get my electrics to work so I approached the warden who helpfully checked the EHU and my mains cable only to find the main switch had tripped on my unit. "Elementary, my dear Watson!" Thanks for being so obliging, Mr Warden.... Show more
