Why stay here ...

OFFERS*: Kids for £1 (aged 5-17) | Under 5s stay free | £5 refundable deposit

Set in the beautiful location of an old walled garden on the picturesque Chatsworth Estate, the Chatsworth Park Club Campsite in Bakewell offers nostalgic views of the sheep-cropped rolling countryside, with some lovely walks. One of our sites in Derbyshire, the campsite is a lovely holiday retreat for the family to escape the bustle of city living. Surrounded by lots of wildlife, it is fantastic for deer watching.

The Horse Trials that take place in May and the Country Fair in September are just two of the fantastic attractions conveniently nearby the Chatsworth Park Club Campsite. One of the first visits on the list should be to the House, where you can immerse yourself in history as you wander round the beautifully decorated rooms, formal gardens and the famously lovely cascade. Another place for an unforgettably scenic stroll is the 1000-acre park laid out by Capability Brown. For those who want to sample and take home authentic country delights, the nearby farm shop boasts superior marmalades and jams amongst many other scrumptious treats.

The village of Baslow is a 15 minute walk with a couple of good pubs, including the refurbished Devonshire Arms. Bakewell market on Mondays is recommended. Children visiting the caravan site will enjoy the farmyard and adventure playground on the Chatsworth House estate, guaranteed to give them hours of fun.

Chatsworth Park Health & Fitness Club is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive away. To find out about what they offer, please visit their webpage here.

Lovely clean site but very narrow access / exit over the bridge for an 8ft wide caravan!

A lovely clean site with hardworking ,friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very well maintained. A lovely quiet site with fabulous bird song to awake to. A great fish and chip truck and a pie truck visited on 2 evenings. Very clean facilities, although fixed shower heads aren’t ideal and although... Show more

Yet another lovely visit, location, location, location!

We love our visits to Chatsworth site! This time was our little granddaughters first overnight adventure! She loved every minute and so did we! Location is perfect for us. She especially loved the magic key directly into the Chatsworth park and the animals and wildlife. Wardens worked extremely hard, were... Show more

So peaceful and in lovely surroundings

This site is just so lovely with Chatsworth just a stones throw away. The wardens are friendly and so hardworking. The children who were there were just delightful. Will visit this site again and again. You start to feel that grounds of Chatsworth are your own garden.... Show more

Lovely surroundings

Site is lovely, fairly quiet, facilities are very clean albeit drains in showers can smell sometimes. Great location for Chatsworth house and for fabulous walks. The small village of Baslow is an easy walk and great ice cream and pubs. I would stay here again.

Great location, but . . .

This site is grand for being right next to Chatsworth House and its deer park, but there are problems. Firstly the staff did not appear to know which pitches remained available, so we were left driving one-and-a-half times round the site towing the caravan to find a pitch, and then... Show more

Site located in a beautiful area.

Lovely site. Excellent facilities. Loved having the key to the door that opened onto Chatsworth estate. It was very secret garden. The estate park was beautiful & the heritage way to the village was great. There was no play park for kids. So when you are on the site,... Show more
