We have been to Chatsworth CC site several times before and this time we came for the Horse Trials. 'Early arrivers' please be aware that if you arrive before the stated time of 1 pm you will be turned away at the entrance just off the main road, until the correct time. At 1pm you are then escorted by the wardens on a tractor down to the site. At last someone is doing something about people taking the mick by arriving before the allotted time - hurray!!! perhaps more sites should take their example. We had a great time on our visit, made better by the weather (until it rained!!) The crows are still noisy but you soon get used to them, it is a small price to pay to be in such beautiful countryside. The new signage is very poor - does not stand out at all, but the wardens have no control over that!! Brilliant stay - will come again.
