Charming site.

Excellent location if you are visiting Chatsworth with the added bonus of being able to walk to Bakewell and surrounding villages. We enjoyed watching the ducks every morning walking around in perfectly straight lines - military fashion! The wardens were extremely friendly and the facilities spotless. However, having booked the site last December when we arrived (at 1.15pm) there was only one pitch available which felt like it was in the car park. Yes we know it was the height of summer and the site gets very busy but next time we would probably book a serviced pitch which are located in the main body of the site.

Lovely site

First thing to say is read the directions to find the site on Caravan Club website and don't make same mistake we did of following our sat nav instructions.  Once we did arrive though we found the site to be all we would have hoped for - good sized pitch (we used serviced pitch which Caravan Club should invest in more of) with plenty of room for car, caravan & awning, well stocked on site shop, decent toilet facilities, friendly wardens, etc. The location is great, with access via a gate in rear Wall to Chatsworth House estate and a short walk to a couple of pub's in the town. Also a good base for visiting Bakewell which is a lovely place to spend a day.  Will definitely visit again.

Chatsworth July 2016

Access to the site was quick and easy, despite a long queue. We had asked for a pitch close to the toilet/shower block and found that we were right next door. This made it easy for my in-laws who were with us. Also, we were able to use the washing up area rather than wash dishes in the caravan. The staff were all friendly and helpful and we enjoyed being visited by the ducks every day. We look forward to coming to the site again in the future.

A great weekend

First time here, stayed 2 nights from 19 August, we stayed on a super pitch (no.3) which was spacious and light, compared with 2 nights in a b&b, thought the cost was reasonable (it was also high season). The location of the park is great, lots of walks available, we walked into Bakewell. Staff very friendly and helpful and the site very clean and tidy. Will definately be back for a longer time to do more walks with the dogs.

Is it worth the premium price

Agree with most of the previous reviews, lots of good walks accessible from the site. Pitches are the same as other CC sites, and some people had problems with the tree sap on their awnings although there are a number of pitches not under trees. Yes the site is good and the toilet/washing facilities the same as most other sites. I don't agree that the site is good value for money however and that the site justifies the premium price for the pitch ( we used the last ever of our caravan club/Barclay card vouchers ) and we won't be staying here again at the premium price

Chatsworth Park

just spent 3 nights at Chatsworth Park. A fantastic location for some beautiful scenic walks and close to Baslow for lovely meals at 2 pubs. The site is well kept with good sized pitches and a spotless shower block. site staff are always friendly and happy to help. will definitely revisit.

We had another week at chatsworth brilliant really enjoyed it then again we always do .The warden's do a good job in keeping this site up to scratch and very clean .welldone to them .Just one thing at all club sites a few dog owners seem to think keeping thire dogs on a lead at all times on site does not apply to them as thay let thire dogs roam around thire vans . But I must say a majority of dog owners do keep to the rules its just that some dog owners spoil it for others and dont bother what thire dogs do

On The Way Home

Stopped of at Chatsworth for four nights on the way back home from Cornwall on the recommendation of a friend. Possibly the best sited Club Site in the country but definitely don't arrive before 1pm because if you meet someone leaving the reverse back could be interesting. Spent three days walking the glorious countryside and visiting Bakewell, which can be walked to from the site, we only used the car once. We even spent one day just walking round the Chatsworth estate and managed to cover just over 10 miles. Plenty of local pubs but they do like to charge London prices however the beer is really good. All in all it was a brilliant end to our summer holiday.
