Good for families

Unusual but useful.

This is a very large site with a lot of hard standing. We prefer grass and so booked a grass pitch which suited us well. Only one toilet block was open and that seemed little used so no problem except we had "Shower Anxiety" and set an alarm every morning as there was no alternative during the inconvenient "Cleaning Hour" 10 till 11am. Great place to stay for visiting Seven Valley Railway, Black Country Museum, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Transport Museum right next door to the site. Rather "flat" feel to the site, most people keeping themselves to themselves in self contained units, few children despite being the summer holidays. That may suit some people so not a criticism but we were quite relieved when some more sociable people moved in next door. We had none of the noise issues other reviews mentioned. Yes it is a shlep to empty the bins, we don't like to drop it off on the way out as there is nowhere to wash your hands after. This is not a site to book for a holiday in my opinion but great as a place to stay with a purpose in mind.
